Is Wegovy the same as Ozempic?

Both contain semaglutide, but at different doses for different purposes. Wegovy (2.4mg) is approved for weight loss. Ozempic (up to 1mg) is approved for type 2 diabetes. Since October 2024, new off-label Ozempic prescriptions for weight loss are restricted.
