Cost during dose escalation (months 1–4)
You won't pay the full maintenance price straight away. During the 16-week escalation, you're on lower doses which are cheaper. Estimated monthly costs during escalation:
| Month | Dose | Estimated cost |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1 | 0.25mg | $200–280 |
| Month 2 | 0.5mg | $250–320 |
| Month 3 | 1.0mg | $300–380 |
| Month 4 | 1.7mg | $350–420 |
| Month 5+ | 2.4mg | $400–$460 |
Total first-year cost estimate
Including the cheaper escalation months, your first year on Wegovy will cost approximately $3,800–$5,200 depending on your provider. Subsequent years at the maintenance dose cost approximately $4,800–$5,500.
